Why a vintage console beats a new one
A new solid-wood console table commonly runs $400–$900. The $99 new ones are hollow and light — they scoot across the floor every time you set down your keys.
Ours are solid vintage pieces with real presence: turned legs, scrollwork iron, thick glass, warm wood. The finishing touch for a room, at $99–$549 instead of new-store prices. Painted pieces include matching touch-up paint on request.
What to look for in a console table
- Height against your sofa — about the same height as the sofa back, or a touch lower.
- Slim depth for hallways — most consoles run 12–16 inches deep, so they stay out of the walkway.
- A level, sturdy stance — lamps and decor shouldn’t wobble it.
- Surface you’ll actually use — room for a lamp, a tray for keys, and a basket underneath.
- Material that fits the room — wood warms, iron and glass lighten.
- Honest construction — solid joinery, not cam-lock fittings.
Every console we sell has been cleaned, checked over, and — where it’s a painted piece — refinished by hand. Ready to place the day you bring it home.
